Frequently asked questions

Do I need an account to use the free generator?

No. The free browser generator works immediately with no sign-up. Rate limits apply per IP address.

Are generated barcodes stored?

No. Payloads are generated on request and not stored by default. Server logs contain metadata only, not payload content.

What counts as a generation?

Each successful call to the browser generator or API endpoint counts as one generation, regardless of output format or dimensions.

What if I exceed my monthly API limit?

On the API plan, overages are billed at $5 per additional 10,000 generations. You will be able to set a spending cap in your dashboard.

Which plan includes the AAMVA parser?

The paid API tier and above are the intended home for AAMVA parse and validation workflows. The browser diagnose tool demonstrates the flow, while production access belongs on paid plans.

Do you offer self-hosted deployment?

Yes. Enterprise is the path for private-cloud or on-prem deployment, including environments where barcode payloads or identity records cannot leave your network boundary.

Can I use the output commercially?

Free tier output is for personal and internal use. The API plan and above include a commercial use license for integration into products.

Is there a refund policy?

Annual plans can be refunded within 14 days of purchase if no API keys have been used. Monthly plans are not refunded mid-cycle. Full terms to follow at launch.
